By Football Italian staff An interesting development.
According to the Milanista newspaper La Repubblica, the Rossoneri have agreed to terms on a contract extension for the former Roma and Inter defender.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a return to the Italian capital in recent weeks and the report claims that the Rossonista are ready to extend his stay in Serie A. This news comes just days after it was announced that Inter Milan’s Nani had signed a new deal with the Nerazzurri.
It was also reported that Inter had signed striker Paulo Dybala from Udinese.
With the Rossoni still looking to sign another striker, the team is hoping that the deal for Ventura can be done soon.
For the moment, however, the report is a little premature.
Inara’s reports claim that the Italian side are still in talks with the former defender on the basis of the fact that Ventura has not yet received the medical required to return to action.
The Rossonerio have been linked recently with a number of strikers, with the likes of Francesco Totti and Federico Fazio all linked with the Rossi.
It is still not known what will happen with the signing of Ventura, but the reports indicate that the club are looking for a long-term solution to the defence that has struggled to perform at the top of Serie A this season.
