Microsoft’s Cortana technology can also be used for remote diagnostics and other purposes.
The technology can make recommendations based on the environment it is operating in, such as a hotel, a restaurant, or a house.
But Cortana can also suggest tasks and reminders, which can help you manage the computer.
Here are the basics of Cortana, as well as the various ways it can be used.

Cortana uses a map, which you can view at any time, to show you where the Cortana suggestions are located.
To find them, you need a map with a map icon on the top of the screen.
Navigate to Cortana and tap the icon in the top right-hand corner of the map to get to a search box with a list of all suggestions.
To make a suggestion, tap the red “suggest” button in the bottom left corner of Cortana’s map.
To skip a suggestion and continue searching, tap a “continue” button.
To dismiss a suggestion or request a reminder, tap it.
The red “stop” button at the bottom of the search box will cancel the suggestion or reminder.
You can also use Cortana to make a quick, automated, or even personalized call.
For example, if you’re on a business trip and need to schedule a meeting for later, Cortana can ask for the location of your office or the location near the airport.
The map also includes directions for each location and a phone number that can be called.
To schedule the meeting, enter the details into the search field and tap “call.”
To receive the call, tap “answer.”
The red phone icon at the top-right of the call screen will show you a list with all available voicemail options.
Tap “call” to send a message.
To confirm the call and to hear from Cortana, press “stop.”
To cancel the call or ask Cortana to delete the message, tap and hold the “pause” button until you hear a response.
You also can set reminders that Cortana will be notified of events, such a the date and time of the next appointment, and send reminders.
The same can be done to schedule reminders that can occur automatically or on the go.
To set reminders, you can add reminders to a calendar, a calendar reminder, or the “do-not-disturb” option.
You should also set reminders for other Microsoft apps and services, such like Outlook.
To add reminders, simply open Cortana and select the reminders tab.
Cortana has also provided a number of additional settings for you to customize Cortana to your needs.
You might also want to customize the default voice prompts.
These include: To get help for your queries, Cortana will ask for a query, such the name of a person, a phone or email address, and a location.
The results of your queries will be shown at the end of the conversation.
To get information on a person or location, Cortana suggests a topic to discuss.
Cortana will then suggest questions to answer.
For information about a particular subject, you might ask Cortana about an individual or an event, such how a person is doing.
To receive an answer, tap on the answer button in Cortana’s search bar.
To delete an answer or suggest another question, tap away from the answer box.
If you have a particular need or want Cortana to take action for you, you will see the Cortana options on the left side of the Cortana interface.
You may also want Cortana and other services to be enabled.
To do this, open Cortana.
Select the Cortana app from the Start menu, or from the Settings menu.
If there is no Cortana app, you may need to install Cortana manually.
To enable Cortana, double-click the “settings” icon in Cortana.
The settings menu should appear.
To open Cortana, select the “Settings” icon.
If Cortana is already enabled, a new tab should appear, and then an “Advanced settings” section.
Here you can enable the settings for Cortana.
To disable Cortana, right-click Cortana and choose “uninstall.”
To uninstall Cortana, tap uninstall, and you’ll be prompted to restart it.

Microsoft says that Cortana can help make that a reality.
